EXPEDITING SERVICES
is a federally incorporated joint venture consisting of 51%
Inuit ownership with the family of Bill and Jessie Lyall of
Cambridge Bay and 49% ownership by Discovery Mining Services
Ltd. of Yellowknife.
WILLIAM (Bill) L. LYALL – was born in
1941 in Fort Ross, Nunavut, a trading post on the Boothia Peninsula.
His eclectic education and experience includes residential school
and Northern Alberta Institute of Technology where he obtained
a Journeyman Certificate as an Automotive Mechanic. He has made
a living from the land, managed his own taxi business, worked
as a Journeyman automotive mechanic and general manager of the
Cooperative. Most recently he provides leadership by serving
as a director on boards of Inuit business ventures. Bill was
elected as President of the Ikaluktutiak Co-operative in 1976
and is still President today. He continues to serve in other
community and economic development capacities including:

Bill is married with five children and 11 grandchildren. He
and his wife Jesse live in Cambridge Bay.
Nunavut Expediting Services Ltd. has been approved and is registered
as an Inuit firm pursuant to Article 24.7.1 of the Nunavut Claims
Agreement.
