CAMP RENTAL & CONSTRUCTION

Over the last 12 years, Discovery Mining Services have provided and constructed from 2 - 80 person complete all weather camps in Nunavut, the Northwest Territories and throughout the rest of Canada.

The rental camps have ranged in size from very basic camps for grassroots exploration programs to more elaborate rental camps for larger scale advanced drill programs.

The name says it all - our basic grassroots camps are just that! Sleep tents, basic dry tent and minimal cooking facilities. Often used for short programs, they are lightweight, inexpensive and can easily be moved.

Our more elaborate camps for larger scale sample programs and drill programs offer more comfort and convenience for longer stays and larger crews. Amenities can include complete kitchen facilities to feed any number of personnel, sleep tents, showers with hot and cold running water, complete office facilities, and core logging facilities. We can even provide experienced and talented camp cooks and first aid personnel.

All of our camps can be flown by Twin Otter – a necessary requirement for some of the more remote areas in the north.

As part of the Mining Industry, which is committed to responsible environmental practices, our camps are built in accordance with all applicable regulations for land use and wildlife conservation. Discovery Mining Services and Nunavut Expediting at the client's request can provide camp managers, cooks and knowledgeable local bear monitors from the Northern communities.

We are simply the most experienced camp providers in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. Our clients recognize our expertise. Recently, Discovery Mining Services started providing complete rental camps that were shipped to exploration programs overseas.
